Mountain Bikes

The mountain bike is the all-terrain-vehicle of the bicycle world. Their durability and versatility make them a good choice for an all-rounder urban bike, but their ultimate purpose is to leave the city behind. With their fat, knobby tires and plenty of suspension, a mountain bike can ride trails that many would find difficult to walk on. Locally, Castlewood State Park and Council Bluff Lake are good trails to try. Although not as efficient on the pavement as a road bike, mountain bikes offer sheer outdoor fun and are ideal for trail riding, fitness, commuting, and off-road racing.
